Requesting a grant is intended to be a “bottom-up” process; all congregations are encouraged to dream about how the mission objectives of the Campaign ( see Campaign Priorities) can become manifest locally and to come up with programs that will help achieve those objectives. Once a member has an idea, he/she should provide the details of the proposed project on the Pre-Application Form, obtain the required signatures, and submit the form and the proposal to the respective convocational Mission Development Team- a committee comprised of the Convocational Dean, clergy, and lay people in that convocation. If the project is approved by the Development Team at the convocational level, the proposal will be sent to Diocesan Council for final approval. Each convocation may pass on to Diocesan Council no more than one proposal per major goal of the campaign.
